Tunes from the golden era of Angolan pop are handed on to contemporary Brazilian remixers. Mauricio Pacheco pored through the archives of Angolan National Radio and unearthed long-forgotten recordings made by legendary Angolan artists at the peak of their careers, in the 60s and 70s. Remixing selected tunes with his homeboys back in Brazil, he gives new life to Artur Nunes, Luis Visconde, Paulinho Pinheiro and more. With ambient washes and enough bleeps to satisfy a family of ravenous daleks, the past is dragged forcibly into the present and survives with dignity intact.
