Pepo, from Murcia on the Spanish Mediterranean coast and producer Efrén López, from the now-defunct L´Ham de Foc, gather some fine musicians from various Spanish bands to create a hybrid of contemporary flamenco-inspired Mediterreanean music. Pepo’s throaty performance is both melodic and sturdy, and when absolutely necessary, tender.
