Interpreter: Sotho Sounds
Label: World Music Network
Location: Lesotho

Described as eccentric shepherds, the band formed while tending their flocks in the hills of Lesotho. Instruments are self-created or recycled, band costume includes traditional Basotho blankets and neon-pink wigs. Unison choruses, wobbly fiddles and undefinable percussion all play a role in creating the eccentric charm of Sotho Sounds.
