Deolinda’s ‘new fado’ has gone platinum in Portugal, and here they deliver a selection of their playful tunes with their second release. Soulful, melodic, restrained (and, for those speakers of Portuguese amongst us, witty), it presents contemporary fado in an uncomplicated and unself-conscious light.
