Chopin On 5 Continents

Chart archive

Interpreter: Maria Pomianowsky and friends
Label: CM
Location: Poland

Chopin goes round the world. He stops off in, among other places, Persia, Andalusia, the Far East, the Middle East and Latin America. In each place, he leaps off his donkey and jams with local musicians, who already know his stuff. His music successfully survives the journey, and is performed on morinhur, sarangi, didgeridoo, cajón, kemanche and more. An inspired notion, and well worth a listen.
